Blah for introductions. I have no time for that nonsense. I need to get back to reading, but I want to write review while it's fresh. 'Mkay, so we start this chapter where we left off...
Something terrible and sinister is knocking at Ben's door! (Ohhh!!!) It turns out to be something bad (as we suspected), and Forest and Ben kind of show the best of themselves in this situation. They're also given a chance to reconnect. The emotions, sensuality, and blah are all well-done. (My complaints about word choice remain, but they're not nearly as jarring as they used to be.) I'm dying to find out what the heck is going on with this darn pack, and why werewolves are going to flood into the yard to attack Ben, his milkshake, and his boyfriend in the middle of the night like the common rabble. (He's not drinking a real milkshake, people. I'm a metal patient. Ignore me.) Everything moved really well in this part of the book. It also ends with the right kind of cliffhanger. I'm interested to see what Forrest just did to Ben. DId he waken the beast or did he create one? I don't know, I'm dying to find out, though.
At the end (after the Forrest comes to the realization of what he's done), I will say that Ben did seem a little too happy go lucky for having just witnessed a murder. That kind of broke character for me. Everything else was spot on.
Conclusion -- Well written, good character development, and some interesting plot developments. )
