First off, I received an ARC of this book from Hidden Gems - thank you - and this is my voluntary and independent review. Second, I can't believe I enjoyed this book as much as I did. Billionaire Boss is the quintessential D/s workplace fantasy, wherein all the men are hot executives with insatiable (and dominant) sexual desires, and all (two) of the women are young, hot, sexual submissives who can definitely be bought (for top wages, perks, and generous if unconventional benefits packages). Understand, my time in the workforce did not endear me to sexual overtures on the job, the mere thought of spanking makes me livid, and I do not have a submissive bone in my body. Billionaire Boss is NOT my kink, BUT... Tiffany Allee/Andie Devaux writes the bejaysus outta this one. Her characters may begin as fantasy stereotypes, but they morph into very interesting, quirky, damaged people who use kink to manage the issues in their lives - successfully. The Dom is aware of being the ultimate control freak, and he's human - man - enough to make changes when it becomes important. The untried submissive grows one hell of a backbone and a pair of brass ovaries. H and h may have raging libidos, but they also have brains, guts, and ethics, and it's the latter that generates the drama and the satisfying HEA. And THAT is why the four star rating, and my recommendation read this book.
I received an ARC of this book through Hidden Gems and in return I am writing an honest review of the book.
First, the book delves into pure fantasy, and I don't mean the Paranormal kind. I mean just plain fantasy, imagination-type. My first impression was that it wasn't badly written but that it didn't have any basis in reality. It is very hard for me to get into a book that isn't at least a little believable. For example - no true Dominant would ever call what went on in that office, or for that matter, anywhere else, BDSM in any form. No true Dominant would ever tell a submissive that the did not need a safeword and that if she wanted something to stop, it would. How pray tell, without her being able to tell anyone?
Second, it needed the heavy hand of an editor. At one point, after ordering her to strip, and that included taking her skirt off, he takes her skirt off a page later, and a lot of misused words and phrases. Would the book have been better with an editor's hand? Yep, because a few of the worst sentences would have been changed and the others made smoother.
And third, the sex was hot in this book, there is no denying it. The author took tiny little bites of bondage and dominance and put them into some very hot scenes. And that's the reason this book received 3 stars from me, as I understand that there are readers out there who read these books for the steamy scenes, and not much else. To them, this book will rate five stars. I read a book like this for two reasons, I was asked to review an ARC and I'm always hoping the whole book will be written as well as the sex scenes.

Great storyline. A little different than the average story. Moved along at a great pace with nice twists along the way
It was weird, who gets a job like this. Can you image what that would be like. All the men where wonderful, but that Mr. Lawrence, yum, yummy.
Well, Lawrence runs a very unusual work place.
The whole staff engages in a particular type of behavior. And Lawrence is always in control.
This is a very naughty, well written read.
Lawrence doesn’t change overnight, but he is willing to try to be different and that just worked for me. Hints of Secretary.
Recommend.
