If you haven't fished before, you don't know what you're missing. If you did, you would be a fisherperson.
Not only does it bring you closer to nature, there's the thrill of the catch. Imagine standing on the bank of a stream on a beautiful day, your rod bending under the weight of a good catch. This one's a fighter and you take your time, allowing the fish to tire itself out before reeling it to shore. When you finally land it, you realize you've just caught the biggest fish of your life. It's a great feeling and 1 you'll never know until you give fishing a try.

The Fishing Guide eBook Scott Johnson
It is not a long book and I ended up reading the whole thing so it gets 2 stars in the ILBOB book rating system. However it is not that good of a book. For one thing, it is riddled with writing errors. Sometimes multiple errors in the same paragraph. Punctuation, grammar, tense, plural-singular, word order, extra words, missing words, wrong words, etc. Not very impressive. It badly needs to be proofed.
It uses a lot of terms throughout the book that are never defined. If I already know what the guy is talking about, why do I need to read the book?
Most of the book is about bass fishing, maybe as much as half. The book talks about bass fishing tournaments in an almost orgasmic way. There are also brand name bass fishing products that are mentioned favorably but since I have no idea what they are or why I would want to use them, I have no idea what point the author is trying to make.
At one spot the author suggests a 6 inch long rod. I reread the passage several times before realizing he probably meant a 6" long handle on the rod. In another place he suggests a 2-4 m (meter?) long rod. A 4 meter long rod seems like a very long rod to me.
It just did not do much for me. I got it for free so I am not too offended.

My father love fishing so much. Most of the weekend he goes for fishing. I found this book as most appropriate for him. And he like it. He said that this was very useful for him.
